About
What this site is, who it is for, and what it does not claim.
The question
Every listed company must declare its quarterly results. What does that declaration do to the share? Not in theory — for this company, over its last sixteen results: how far it typically moves, in which direction, whether it tends to keep going or snap back, and how it has been trading against the market and its sector on the way in.
Heroes of the Week asks that question every morning for every NSE company due to report in the next seven days, and publishes the answer as a read — a position among that week's reporters, with the full working underneath.
The discipline
- Reads are never rewritten. Each morning's read is stored with its date. When a company's read changes from one day to the next, both remain visible.
- Every result is judged. Ten sessions after a result, the read that preceded it is scored against what the share actually did, relative to the market and the sector. Successes and failures are published side by side, with the reasons we can find.
- Nothing is forecast. A "strong" read means the company's composite sits in the top fifth of that week's reporters. It is not a prediction that the share will rise, and the post-mortems show plainly how often it did.
- The base rate is published. Results we did not read are judged too, so any claim the reads make can be checked against what a coin would have done.
Who it is for
Investors and traders who follow results season and want a company's own history in front of them before the announcement — not a tip, and not a consensus estimate. Use it to frame your own view, then use your own judgement.
Data
Prices, index levels, delivery percentages and corporate actions are the NSE's own end-of-day files. Result dates come from exchange intimations (NSE and BSE), with our own projection filling the gap before a company tells the exchange. Reported figures are parsed from the XBRL statements companies file. Headlines are the business press's RSS feeds, shown as headline and link only.
Companies listed only on BSE, and companies with no price history, are not covered.
Privacy policy
last updated 16 September 2026Heroes of the Week ("the site", "we") is a research publication about listed companies' quarterly results. Everything the site publishes is public and identical for every visitor. Signing in adds a few private things — a watchlist, an optional morning message, a paper book — and this policy describes exactly what they involve.
What we collect, and when
If you only read the site: nothing that identifies you. Our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for 30 days, used only to keep the site running and to diagnose faults.
If you sign in with Google, Facebook, LinkedIn or X, the provider sends us, and we store:
- your name as shown on that account;
- your email address, if the provider shares one (X does not);
- the URL of your profile picture;
- the provider's user ID for your account, which is how we recognise you next time.
That is the complete list. We request only the provider's basic profile scope. We never see your password, your friends or connections, your posts, or anything else on that account, and we cannot post on your behalf.
While signed in we also store the companies you add to your watchlist, and one session cookie. If you ask for the morning message we store that choice, the address it goes to (your provider's, or one you typed and confirmed by link), and, if you link Telegram, the numeric id of that chat — nothing else about the chat. If you follow calls in a paper book we store which published calls you followed (a company and a date). No money figure of any kind is ever asked for or stored.
What we use it for
- To show your name and picture in the site header, so you can tell you are signed in.
- To keep your watchlist and show it to you, and only to you.
- To send you the morning message you asked for — one a trading day, to the address or chat you chose, each carrying a one-tap stop link — and to mark your paper book against the site's published record.
- To choose which companies' intraday price data the site fetches: names on readers' watchlists are fetched first. The list of symbols is used in aggregate; it is not tied to any person in that process.
We do not use your details for marketing, we do not build a profile of you, and we make no decision about you by automated means.
Who we share it with
No one. Your details are not sold, rented, or passed to any third party. The only exchange with the sign-in provider is the sign-in itself: you authorise them, they send us the four fields above, and that is the end of it. If you ask for the morning message, the mail passes through our mail relay and, if you linked Telegram, Telegram's servers, as any mail or message must; neither is given anything beyond the message and its destination.
Optional analytics (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity) may be enabled on the site; they load only if you choose Accept all on the cookie banner, and when they do, they receive the usual anonymous page-view data under their own policies and never your name, email or watchlist.
Cookies
hotw_user— your session, set when you sign in, valid for 90 days, removed when you sign out. Contains a random token and nothing else.hotw_oauth— set for ten minutes during sign-in to protect against forged callbacks, then discarded.hotw_view— whether you see the phone, tablet or desktop layout, kept for a year.hotw_consent— your answer to the cookie banner (all or essential), kept for a year. Clear your cookies to be asked again.- Your light/dark preference is kept in your browser's local storage, not on our server.
How long we keep it
Your account and watchlist stay until you delete them (see Data deletion). Sessions expire after 90 days of inactivity. Server logs are rotated after 30 days.
Your rights
You may see everything we hold on you — it is the four fields above, your watchlist, your alert settings and your book, all visible on your account page — and you may delete it at any time, yourself, with one click on that page. If you would rather we do it, or you have any question about this policy, write to the site owner.
Children
The site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly hold data on anyone under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it and the new text is published here. We will not quietly widen what we collect.
Terms of use
last updated 16 September 2026- What this is. Heroes of the Week publishes statistical readings of listed companies' past trading around their results. It is a data and research product for educational and informational purposes.
- What it is not. Nothing on the site is investment advice, a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, or a forecast of any price. We are not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst. Every figure is a historical or statistical fact about past trading; past trading says nothing certain about future trading. All decisions and their outcomes are entirely your own.
- Accuracy. Data comes from the exchanges' published files and companies' filings, processed automatically. We work to keep it correct and we publish our own error rate, but the site is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, and we may be wrong. Check anything you intend to act on against the primary source.
- Your account. Signing in is optional and free. You are responsible for the account you sign in with. We may close accounts that abuse the site (automated scraping through a signed-in session, attempts to interfere with the service, and the like).
- Acceptable use. You may read, link to and quote the site with attribution. You may not republish it wholesale, present its readings as your own, or represent them as advice to others.
- Intellectual property. The reads, the methodology, the text and the design are ours. Exchange data belongs to the exchanges and is used under their public-data terms. Headlines belong to their publishers and link to the source.
- Liability. To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any loss arising from use of, or reliance on, anything on this site.
- Changes and termination. We may change or withdraw any part of the site at any time. These terms may change; the date above will show when.
- Law. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction over any dispute.
Data deletion
how to remove your account and everything with itYourself, in one click: sign in, open your account page, and press Delete my account. Your name, email, picture, provider ID, watchlist, alert settings, Telegram link, paper book, any mail queued for you and every session are deleted immediately and permanently. Nothing is kept in a "deactivated" state, and there is no waiting period.
By request: if you can no longer sign in, or you prefer not to, write to the site owner from the email address on the account, or tell us the provider and name you signed in with. We delete within 7 days and confirm by reply.
Facebook users: removing Heroes of the Week from your Facebook account's Apps and Websites settings stops us receiving anything further from Facebook. To remove what we already hold, use either method above; the app-removal alone does not reach our database.
Deleting your account does not affect anything public on the site: reads and post-mortems are about companies, not readers, and carry no reader data.
